Years ago, I became frustrated with RV groups on Facebook. The same questions appeared again and again, while Facebook’s search function made useful past discussions difficult to find. Good answers were buried, then recreated from scratch. It was repetitive for those answering and inefficient for those needing help.

My workaround was to build a database. I answered each recurring question properly once, then copied and pasted that response when the subject returned. When better information surfaced, I updated the saved answer instead of allowing outdated versions to drift around.
That database eventually became the inspiration and foundation for RV Adviser GPT, an app that automates much of the process of providing practical RV guidance.
From Answer Database to AI App
Today, I face the same problem while helping more than 500,000 members across several Facebook groups, including AI Basics and Beyond. Copying saved answers was no longer enough. The system needed to understand different groups, audiences, and subjects without treating every question as equally simple.
That led me to create innovaReply, a browser extension for managing recurring questions and drafting suitable responses. It records useful answers, adapts them for particular groups, supports credit tags, and applies different expectations for accuracy. Recommending an RV wax does not require the same research and validation as commenting on someone’s laboratory results in the leukaemia support group I run. Any system that treats those requests alike is not especially intelligent, regardless of how much AI is stuffed into it.
innovaReply also recognizes that fully automated posting is often a bad idea. It prepares a response for human review and editing before anything is published. When the available information is insufficient, it does not bluff. Instead, it creates a focused prompt that can be taken to ChatGPT or another AI service for deeper research.
Why does this matter if you do not manage several online communities? Because your own repeated frustration may be the blueprint for a useful app. Generative AI can help you define the workflow, design the interface, write the code, test it, and repair the inevitable odd behaviour. You still need judgment and a clear understanding of the problem, but you no longer need any programming experience, much less years of it, to build a working solution.
